Cured my baby’s cradle cap!!!, May 22, 2016

My daughter sweats something terrible! We live in Texas so it’s expected a little bit. Unfortantly she swears so much through the day and night it all builds up on her head. She is 9 months old and had horrible cradle cap! Like terrible it came out of no where’s too! Well I did a lot of research and tried everything! From oil to mayonnaise and nothing seemed to work or help in the slightest! Her cradle cap had gotten so bad that it was a little embarrassing. Finally I found Mustela baby shampoo!! Oh my gosh amazing!!! It was bath night as soon as I opened the package. I applied it to her hair let it set for 30 seconds and used a baby brush and scrub lightly. After another minute setting I rinsed. Once my baby’s hair was dry I could immediately tell the difference! After two washes it was nearly gone and now we use it once a week! Sometimes twice.
The smell is so nice! It’s subtly but still babyish. I was worried it was going to smell soapy or awful. At first smelling it it smells weird but once my baby’s hair was dry it smelled so nice! I would recommend this product to anyone with or without cradle cap!

Slowly curing toddler’s scalp gunk issues, August 12, 2016

I purchased this for my two year old in hopes that it would get rid of the scaly gunk on his scalp. He didn’t have much cradle cap as an infant, but once he started having gunk on his scalp it really bugged me. I assume it is the toddler equivalent of cradle cap, I could always pick it off without hurting him, but we both found that process annoying and slow.

I did not see instant results with the Mustela, but after about a month, every time that I was him the gunk has been flaking off more and more so that I can comb it out. I have found it to be most effective to thoroughly wet his head at the beginning of bath so that things are nice and soft when I shampoo at the end.

Disclaimer: I don’t bathe my toddler very often, only once or twice a week unless something exception happens that requires an extra bath. He spends lots of time outside and in various lakes and ponds. It’s probably our lifestyle that allowed him to become gunky in the first place, and if I washed him more, it might be even more effective.

I think the smell is perfectly pleasant, not anything to write home about or complain about. It doesn’t seem all that different from the smell of Johnson’s to me.

    AMAZING PRODUCT!, January 9, 2015

After trying damn near EVVVVEERRY THING on Kayla’s eczema and it just seemed to get worse. I didn’t really want to use a steroid cream because it thins layers of skin and wanted that to be a last last resort. She was getting dry patches on her shoulders and elbows.and her face was very inflamed. I felt so bad for her because I have eczema so I k ow how it feels. I found something that ACTUALLY works.. After hours of research i found Mustela Baby products.. It had over 141 reviews on amazon with only 7 being one star the rest three and above with the about 120 being four stars. So I figured I’ll try it.. this stuff right here.. Is pure magic!! Look at the results after only applying it twice. Last night and the night before.. The after picture is the beautifulness I woke up too today. The before was two days ago before the first application.. Its hypoallergenic, free of fragrance, colorants, and parabens… And no mineral oil , the sunflower oil is the active ingredient.. Now this stuff is expensive ..$ 22.00 for the cream and $14 for the shampoo… And that was targets clearance price… But I must say WELL WORTH IT!! they have a whole set for $39 which I will be going to get. If your babies have sensitive skin like me and my babies but if he does This stuff ABSOLUTELY works!

I’ve tried Honest Company, Vanicream, Aquaphor, Badger, and Babo – only MUSTELA WORKS!! 🙂, June 23, 2015

I hardly ever write reviews, but I just had to because… This moisturizing cream is THE BEST of both worlds – sinks in better than a typical LOTION, but doesn’t leave as much sticky residue as an OIL.

My baby (under age 1) has had dry skin with red patches on her ears, legs, under her elbows, knees, and anywhere drool is left behind. She was constantly itchy and scratched herself to the point of bleeding sometimes.

I was hesitant to buy a product that wasn’t 100% organic with all natural ingredients, however, I went down a long road before I came to this one and I want to save you the time and energy I wasted.

First, I tried Honest Company’s bath wash and lotion. Fail.
Second, I tried a combination of Honest Company’s bath wash, Vanicream and Aquaphor. Helped a bit, but stopped working after a few months.
Third, I went all natural and bought Badger Baby Balm, Badger Oil and Babo Miracle Cream. (Badger is mostly olive oil.) I really wanted to love all three products, esp. the Babo but I agreed with the reviewers that said the smell turned them off. I would have stuck with them if they had worked because I love the ingredients and EWG (Environmental Working Group) ratings, but they just did not work.

Finally, I bought Mustela’s Cream Wash and Moisturizing Cream!!!
*Note: I also bought Angel Baby Oil and Aveeno Baby Eczema Therapy Bath.

    Hers is my winning combination:
    (1) Mustela Cream Wash in separate tub/sink
    (2) Aveeno oatmeal bath in her baby tub
    (3) Angel Baby Oil (from Earth Mama Angel Baby, just for an added all natural element, to get the calendula in there, and to help her scalp. It contains: grape seed oil, jojoba oil, and organic calendula)
    (4) Mustela Moisturizing Cream after the bath and everyday all over

I didn’t believe the other reviewers, but after JUST ONE BATH we saw an improvement!
It has been 3 days now and her red patches are almost all gone.

Don’t make my mistake in thinking all natural is always the best. I realized sometimes we need medications and those are synthetic. My baby’s skin was so sensitive she needed “medication” for it and Mustela worked for her!! I’ve been agonizing for 10 months…Couldn’t be happier!!

My 5 month old has significant eczema, all over face and body. I tried aquaphor, eucerin, Cerave, breast milk lotion. Nothing worked, and even seemed to make things worse. After just 2 days of this cream, outbreaks were almost completely clear. Wish I had gone with it first.
