Poor quality compared to blades purchased locally, October 8, 2015

All I can say is the blades I received seem to be inferior to blades purchased from a store.
No P&G label on the box, blades purchased from a store had P&G on the back. The other part that made me curious is the text color. On the one I purchased from the store, the word HOJAS (on back under “Nano Thin”) is printed using Gray Ink and the word “Nano Delgadas” is printed with black ink. The word colors on the product I receive is reversed. The Gillette logo is not smooth like the printed label purchased from a store.
Although I’ve been refunded, I wouldn’t purchase these again unless it was sold under the “Prime” label.
Lastly, I repurchased the blades at Sam’s at a lower per each price and my shave this morning felt good and clean.

Blades felt like they had been used for 60 days and left my face feeling coarse after 2 hours- see picture, the soap bar doesn’t exist after 2 shaves – it’s a sheet of plastic.
Purchased a 20 pack locally and hope to see a big difference.
Some folks have had luck with these blades, but then again, so did a majority of the folks on E B.
    I was refunded by Amazon.

Razor Blades for Men Who Need to Shave. Real Men. Real Blades., February 1, 2015

I have hair that is so tough, it could be used to clean the barrel of a cannon. In fact, when I had a beard and short hair, the guys nick-named me bore brush. So, no ordinary razor blade is just going to shave this face. Oh, I’ve used those 5-bladed razors; you know the kind–with the big heads and even bigger marketing budgets. But like an Internet whore, they’re all promise and no satisfaction. Give me my razor with some real moves, some real satisfaction.

I stared into the mirror. Some ugly mug stared back at me. Quickly, I splashed warm water on my face, and the guy in the mirror was still just as ugly, but with a wet face. A bit of shaving cream, and it was time to transform that ugly guy into the superhero everyone loves. But like Underdog without his Super Energy Pill, I noticed that my razor was completely dull and powerless. Thankfully, the geniuses at Amazon had responded quickly to my Polly Purebred call for help and delivered this product–fresh Mach 3 blades–just the day before. Quickly swapping the blades, I appreciated the thoughtfulness of how Gillette had put the blades into a clear plastic safety case.

I wet the blade under the stream of water and began to shave. Stroke after stroke, my hairs were cut down like trees being mowed down by lumberjack clearcutters on meth. The sharp blades were like Star Trek Borg–resistance was futile. No hair could stand against them. And yet, miraculously, the blades never broke the surface of my skin. It’s the exact opposite experience of shaving with a sander, but I digress.

Rinsing the lather off my face, I gazed into the mirror and saw some baby-faced superhero staring back. I almost wished I could grow my beard again, just so I could shave it off. But I’ll settle for waiting a day or so and coming back again for another round of shaving pleasure.

Sure, these Mach 3 blades are great and fit both my Mach 3 and my Mach 3 Turbo handles (which are the same, except the color of the Turbo grip is black, which as we all know makes it faster somehow). Some people see these as replacement razor cartridges. I see these guys as Adventure in a Clear Plastic Case.

Your mileage may vary. Batteries not included. Not valid where prohibited by law.

Inexpensive, Sharp, and Perfect for Girly bits, July 2, 2015
Henny Penny (White Plains, NY) –

I have to take a moment to review a product that just works well. I’m a 30-something year old black female who only uses razors to shave my underarms, legs, and girly bits. I shave my legs twice per week, my underarms once per week, and my girly (front and underside) once per week. My skin can be pretty sensitive so I do the whole prep with homemade shaving oils on my girly bits as a pre-conditioner while I shower, then I rinse that off, apply shaving cream, and then shave away creating fun patterns and designs, or just taking it all off depending on my mood. As you can imagine, this process can create quite a buildup on razors, so I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect cost-effective blades. I’ve tried razors from both Schick and Gillette that had 2, 3, 4, and 5 blades with mixed results. Double blades give me razor burn and rashes due to how frequently I have to go over areas. Razors with 5 blades were too expensive and also got gunked up very quickly by the variety of products I used. Arguably, I could have probably avoided using products, but with the blades so close together, I fear that I still would have had issues anyhow. Anyhow, 3 and 4 blade razors have ended up being the only ones I could use without problems. These systems have their blades spaced appropriately apart to prevent buildup and allow me to clean the blades when I’m done. They also remove almost all of my hair with one swipe, and they don’t cut or irritate my skin. For my money, the Schick Quattro and the Gillette Mach3 are the only two systems that I’m perfectly happy with using. I don’t need batteries or anything fancy to get my shave on.

On my underarms and legs, I just use shaving cream and a razor- and I do them first. Then, on my girly bits, I use the pre-conditioning oils, then a wash, followed by shaving cream and a razor. After my body shave, I add soap to a soft toothbrush and gently scrub my blades from the front and the back. Then rinse and dry well and put away in a drawer until next time. With this regimen, my blades have remained sharp. They have not developed any rust. And I change my blades on the first of the month every month. I could probably go a little longer without doing so, but given my regimen, I feel that it’s safer to do it this way. For the price, a pack of these blades can last me over a year and cost me less than a couple of bucks each month. Not a bad deal. I have no complaints about these blades.

I have seen some on ebay that seem a little questionable. I wouldn’t feel comfortably buying them there, as I’d worry about getting third-party blades, rather than geniune OEM blades. But the ones I received here on Amazon were genuine Gillette blades and excellent quality. I will definitely purchase these again.
